Margo Watson Solicitors' parent company, Tanner & Taylor has a large Criminal Defence Department based in Farnham. A number of our criminal defence lawyers are qualified duty solicitors, who can therefore undertake police station representation work. Our solicitors have represented clients in matters ranging from motoring to more serious offences such as murder and serious fraud.

Motoring and traffic law
Tanner & Taylor has a specific interest in Motoring and Road Traffic Law, dealing with all aspects, from the Police Station through to summons or charge. We have successfully defended many cases and helping clients through the experience of going to Court. We deal with all motoring offences including: speeding, careless, dangerous or drink driving, use of a mobile phone whilst driving and compliance with requests for driver details.

Prison law
We have prison law specialists, who deal with all aspects of prison law, including: Adjudications, Parole Hearings (oral and paper reviews), Judicial Reviews and Categorizations.

Our lawyers are able to represent any client (regardless of means or offence) at the police station free of charge. If a person has been arrested or is attending a police station voluntarily, we can be there to represent them. If they are being interviewed by the police we would always advise that they should have a solicitor or legal representative present.
